The planned lithium extraction in the Jadar Valley poses a serious and long-term risk to the environment, water resources, agriculture, and local communities in Serbia. As Professor Radmilo Pešić emphasizes, there are no examples in the world of lithium extraction on highly fertile and densely populated agricultural land like the Jadar region.
